Privacy policy
Last updated September 30, 2026
- Trazerr doesn't keep your resume unless you choose to save it to an account. Otherwise it's sent to Claude, Anthropic's AI, to produce your results, and that's it.
- Accounts are optional. If you sign in and choose "Save to my account", we store that Career DNA and your resume so you can use them on any device, until you delete them.
- If you save your Career DNA on this device instead, it stays in your browser, along with your resume so you can tailor it later.
- No advertising, no tracking cookies, and we never sell your information.
- We store your email address only if you create an account or join the waitlist.
Who we are
Trazerr (trazerr.com) helps people understand what their work history proves and where it can take them. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the site. Questions go to hello@trazerr.com.
Your resume and other text you submit
When you build your Career DNA, check your fit for a job, plan a career path, use Tailor my DNA or build a Job DNA, the text or file you provide is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes it to Anthropic's API so Claude can produce the result. The result comes back to your browser.
Unless you save a result to your account, Trazerr does not save a copy of your resume, the job postings you paste, your tailored resume, or the results. Anthropic processes the content to return the result, under its own commercial terms and privacy policy.
Word (.docx) files are read in your own browser, and only the extracted text is sent. PDFs are sent as the file itself.
Please don't include information you don't want processed, such as government ID numbers or health details. A resume doesn't need them.
Accounts (optional)
You can sign in with your email address. We email you a one-time sign-in link; there's no password. Accounts are run on Supabase, our database provider, which stores your email address, when you signed up and last signed in. Signing in also keeps a sign-in session in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in.
Nothing from your resume goes into your account unless you choose "Save to my account" on a result. When you do, we store that Career DNA and the resume it was built from (the text, or the PDF file). Saving again replaces the previous copy. We use it only to show it back to you and for features you ask for, like Tailor my DNA. We don't show it to employers or anyone else unless you turn on "Let employers find me" (see below), and even then employers see only an anonymous profile until you accept their request. We don't use it to train AI models.
Your saved data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the database only lets your own signed-in account read or change it.
To see, download or delete it, open Your account (the person icon at the top of the site). "Delete everything" permanently deletes your saved Career DNA, your resume and your account right away, and removes the copy on that device.
Letting employers find you (optional)
If you choose "Let employers find me", we write an anonymous profile from your Career DNA: your strengths, experience, skills and the roles you fit, with your name, contact details and the names of your employers and schools left out. You see it before anything is shared, and you choose the location you want to work in and whether you're open to remote work.
Only employers that Trazerr has reviewed and approved can search. They see your anonymous profile and how well it fits their job; they don't see your resume, name or email. If one wants to talk, you get an email and decide. Only if you accept do we share your name and email with that employer, and theirs with you. What they do with your details after that is covered by their own privacy policy.
You can hide or remove your profile any time from Your account, and "Delete everything" removes it along with your requests.
Employer accounts
If you sign up as an employer, we store your email address, company name, your name, job title and company website, the searches you run (only to show you results, not kept afterwards) and the contact requests you send. We use them to review your account, run the service, and share your name, company and email with candidates who accept your requests.
Job alerts (optional)
If you turn on a job alert after a job search, we save that search (the job title or keywords, the location and whether you chose remote) in your account, and which jobs we've already emailed you so we don't send them twice. Once a week we run the search with our job listing providers (Adzuna, or Remotive for remote jobs); they receive the search words and location, never your name or email address. We email you any new jobs through Resend, our email provider.
You can have up to 3 alerts. Stop them any time from Your account, or with the "Stop all job alerts" link in every alert email. "Delete everything" deletes your alerts too.
What stays on your device
If you choose to save your Career DNA, it's stored in your browser's local storage on that device, along with your resume so you can use Tailor my DNA later without uploading it again. Neither is sent to us unless you ask for something that needs it, like a fit check, a career path or a tailored resume, and then only for that request. You can delete both at any time with "Remove from this device" in your results, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Career DNA cards and tailored resume files are made on your device. They're never uploaded to Trazerr.
Job search
When you search for jobs, your search words and location are sent to our job listing partners, Adzuna and Remotive, to find openings. Search results may be cached briefly so repeat searches load faster. When you open a job, you go to that site, and its privacy policy applies there.
The waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to tell you about early access and new features, and we don't share or sell it. To be removed, email hello@trazerr.com.
Technical information
Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic request details when you visit, and keeps standard server logs. To stop any one visitor from sending too many requests, we keep a scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address, together with a request count, for 10 minutes. The code can't be turned back into your IP address. Our error logs record what went wrong with a request, not the contents of your resume. If the page itself hits an error in your browser, it sends us the error message and where in our code it happened (at most 5 per visit), with any email address removed. We keep the newest 200 of these to fix problems.
To improve Trazerr, we count anonymous events, like how many Career DNAs are built each day. Those counts are just an event name and a daily total. They include no cookies, names, IP addresses or resume content.
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, loads a Word file reader from cdnjs only when you upload a .docx file, and loads the sign-in library from jsDelivr only when you use accounts. Those services see your IP address when your browser requests the files.
If you answer "Was this accurate?" on a result, we keep your thumbs up or down, which screen it was about, the role (if any) and any comment you type, so we can improve Trazerr. We don't keep your resume with it, so please leave personal details out of comments.
We don't use advertising, analytics trackers or tracking cookies.
Your choices and rights
You can use Trazerr without giving us any personal information. If you don't create an account, we don't store resumes or results, so there's nothing for us to delete after you close the page. If you have an account, you can download or delete everything in it at any time from Your account. For anything else, including your waitlist email, a copy of your data or a deletion, contact hello@trazerr.com and we'll respond promptly.
Children
Trazerr is meant for people aged 16 and over who are looking for work or planning a career.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll say so clearly on the site.
